6. a Ministry of Propaganda (state-run media service) with a “Big Brother” phony government on TV

7. a docile public that looks violent and rebellious on TV

8. a police state with hidden surveillance all over, telepathic devices, and all sorts of “jails” and torture chambers

9. a social control regime: meds, media, indoctrination, thought control, psychosurgery, a very restrictive social environment, and the Yoke technology

10. phony and misleading histories, including ones about general and healthcare technologies that are really as old as the hills (‘progress is change’), and about wars and labor and slavery issues (institutional revolution agitprop)

11. a general lazy malaise—

 generation after generation—amid a decentralized Byzantine bureaucracy and rationalized economy (not needed for war-making)

12. general agnosticism with rituals and pageantry (some patriotic); churches with non-believers

13. bureaucratic judges, prior restraint by police, and legal positivism rule the day, despite myths of constitutions, civil rights, civil liberties, and elected legislatures

14. nearly static and stagnant way of life, changing for things like weather patterns, not revolutions (the hemlines go up and down and the window dressing changes)

15. a real “Oceania” and “Panem,” both at once

16. gang-rape, prison-like, and hedonistic culture

17. the dark night of isolated hegemony and a media black-out

18. eugenics and conditioning programs keeping bodies within tolerances and providing human capital stocks

19. Nazi-like, inhumane ethical standards for things like scientific research, social ordering, privacy, eugenics, and national security

20. Artificial intelligence exceeding humans, including fully functional Turing Machines

21. Domination of society by women--the vast majority (about 85 percent) of the population.
